Capitol Hill

Citizens’ Climate Lobby gathers yearly in Washington, DC for our conference and lobby days on Capitol Hill. You can get a sense of the experience by checking out the video from the 2013 conference.

2015 June 21st-23rd

We’ll be back at the Omni Shoreham for the upcoming conference. More details as they become available.

Our fifth annual conference was held at the Omni Shoreham hotel in DC and featured keynote speaker Congressman Bob Inglis (SC-04 1993-99 and 2005-11).

We can’t pass a climate bill in Congress without support from conservatives, and since leaving Congress in 2011, Republican Bob Inglis has devoted himself to convincing fellow conservatives to come to the table with support for a revenue-neutral carbon tax. The founder of the Energy and Enterprise Initiative, Mr. Inglis talked with us about how to make our case with Republicans on Capitol Hill.

Speaking at our Tuesday evening reception was Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), co-chair of the Bi-Cameral Task Force on Climate Change, who has made more than 60 speeches on the floor of the Senate about the need to take action on climate change.
